Marie Claire Lamb, MD
Marie Claire Lamb, MD is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician. She was born and raised in Santa Barbara. She earned her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley in 2007, followed by a post-baccalaureate pre-medical certificate from San Francisco State University in 2010. She then obtained her medical degree from the University of Queensland-Ochsner Clinical School in 2015.
Dr. Lamb completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Florida, Gainesville, with a focus on primary care. She spent five years at Sansum Clinic caring for a diverse patient population. During that time she precepted nurse practitioners, oversaw the Doctors’ Weight Management Program, completed a lifestyle and precision medicine fellowship and was involved in the Women’s Health Coalition, where she focused on menopause care.
Dr. Lamb joined Santa Barbara Doctors in 2025. She also dedicates one day a week to the Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics and is on staff at Cottage Hospital. Outside of medicine, she is very active in running, crossfit, surfing and outdoor adventures. She and her husband, Dr. Alex Leasure, an ER physician in Lompoc, have two daughters, Isla and Aurora.
