Richard Chung, M.D.
Dr. Richard Y. Chung graduated from Harvard College with a B.A. in Biology, summa cum laude. After earning an M.D., Ph.D from the Harvard Medical School, he completed an internship in Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Chung served as a resident on the neurosurgical service at The Children’s Hospital, Boston, and as a research fellow at the Neuro-Oncology Center at the M.G.H. After completing his residency in neurosurgery at the M.G.H. he was appointed Assistant in Neurosurgery (staff) in June 2000. He joined Neurosurgical Associates of Santa Barbara in 2001.
Dr. Chung is the recipient of many awards and scholarships. He has served as an Instructor at Harvard University, and has published numerous research papers in the field of neuro-oncology.
