Samira Kayumi-Rashti, M.D.

Board Certified in Pediatrics

Samira Kayumi-Rashti, MD grew up in New York, where she completed her undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University and received a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry. She earned her medical degree from Ross University and completed her residency training at Long Island College Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Kayumi began her career in pediatrics in Cincinnati, Ohio where she worked in a small practice for 2 years and then moved to Santa Maria where she continued at a busy practice for 3 years. She and her family decided to settle down in Santa Barbara and has been working at Children’s Medical Clinic since 2015. Dr. Kayumi has been serving on the board of directors at Central Coast Medical Association for over 2 years and is currently serving as treasurer. She also has a Board Certification in pediatrics. Dr. Kayumi has always felt that the well being of all of us depends on the well being of those of us with the least, which is why she took a special interest in pediatrics. To be a voice for those who don’t or can’t represent themselves is a very important aspect of pediatrics that she takes to heart.

Dr. Kayumi resides in Santa Barbara with her husband, who is a practicing Obstetrician-Gynecologist, and her 2 young daughters. She enjoys spending time with her daughters and is a board member of their school’s PTA. She maintains her health by playing tennis, biking, and swimming. She is also an avid reader and loves to cook.
